The position of the bed and breakfast, situated near the exit Tremestieri of the A20 motorway Messina-Catania, allows you to easily reach the most beautiful resorts on the Ionian coast.
In less than half an hour you can reach the beaches and nightlife of Giardini Naxos and the beautiful Taormina, where you can visit the remains of the Greek theater, dating from the third century BC and still received, in the original function, by viewers of shows and concerts.
Palazzo Corvaja – the town library – the palace of the Dukes of Santo Stefano and Piazza Belvedere have wanderfull scenary, as well as the many churches - the cathedral dedicated to St. Nicolò, S. Catherine of Alexandria and the Anglican Church of St. George - that enhance the long promenade full of shops.
The wonderful coast from the bay of Mazzarò and the reserve of Isolabella rises up to the cliff fortified of Castelmola with its magnificient view of the coast.

Other interesting destination of the Ionian side, after the imposing Cape St. Alessio, is the ancient village of Savoca, one of the hundred most beautiful in Italy, where you can visit the convent, with the museum of the mummies of the notables of the place extraordinarily preserved, the mother church of the twelfth century and the eighteenth-century buildings, scattered throughout the village, including the Palace Trimarchi.
Here is also the Bar Vitelli, set of the first "Godfather" by Francis Ford Coppola.
Continuing in the direction of Catania you can reach the beautiful natural park of the River Alcantara.

In a day you can reach the lively Catania and the beautiful Syracuse, where take a ride on the island of Ortigia and admire the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, visit the ancient latomie and the Greek Theatre, still location of the classical performances of the National Institute of Ancient Drama

Always taking the A20 motorway, but heading in direction of Palermo, 48 Km from Messina you will quickly reach the beautiful town of Milazzo and its namesake Capo stretched in the middle of he Mediterranean, place for a surprising nature trail that culminates in the seaside excursion of “Punta del Carciofo”, also called “Pool of Venus” for the salt lake nestled in the tip of the promontory of Milazzo.
Also worth visiting are the “Ponente Beach”, located in front of the Aeolian Island, and the Castle complex, now reclassified as interesting exhibition space and cultural center.

Other destination not to be missed, a short distance from Milazzo, is the small town of Tindarys, founded in 395 BC by Dionysius of Syracuse. There is well preserved the greek theater of third century BC, later transformed by the Romans into the area for the games of gladiators, which is still home to classical perfomances and concerts during the period from may to august. Here you can also visit a rich archeological aerea which bears traces of the ancient Roman urbs, which are the remains of a building of Gymnasium and spa, as well as finds from the activity of excavation and research preserved in the local ethnographic museum.
Just below the promontory of Tindarys, where more than 300 mt. Above sea level is the Sanctuary that gards the miracolous statue of the Black Madonna, lies the largest beach in the natural reserve of Marinello Lakes, a natural oasis overlooking one of the most beautiful stretches of Tyrrhenian coast.

Both from Messina or Milazzo, you can easily reach the Aeolian Island, consisting of seven volcanic islands of rare beauty, surrounded by an uncontaminated sea. Lipari - the largest – Vulcano and Salina are closer and easier to reach.
To visit Filicudi and Alicudi – pristine and rocky beaches – and the most distant Panarea and Stromboli, is instead advisable to consider an overnight stay also to enjoy a special night lit by the glitter of high society in the first case, and by the glow of the "Sciara di Iddu" (the majestic volcano of Stromboli in permanent activity) in the second.
